Nam is a former college admissions officer with extensive experience in academic counseling and higher education advising. He earned his BA in Cultural Anthropology from Duke University, where he was awarded the Paul Farmer Award for Justice and Social Responsibility for his commitment to social impact and ethical leadership.
After graduating, Nam spent a year working with Indigenous communities in California, South Dakota, and Alaska, supporting food sovereignty initiatives and community-based projects. He later earned an MA in Sociocultural Anthropology from Cornell University, with a research focus on the history and resilience of Indigenous Peoples in North America.
With a strong background in admissions and student mentorship, Nam is passionate about helping students thoughtfully shape their academic paths and present authentic, compelling narratives in the college application process.
